A video showing a female student of Bamidele Olumilua University of Education Science and Technology. Ikere Ekiti, bullying a fellow student has surfaced on X.

The incident, according to Ekiti Trends, occurred on Sunday, May 5, 2024.

In the video posted on X on Monday, the bully, dressed in a black top over black jeans could be seen caning the victim, dressed in a yellow gown, while a female voice, believed to be a fellow schoolmate could be heard in the background.

” They are friends,” the female voice said of the two.  “She is quite popular in the Mass Communication Department,” the voice revealed about the victim.

The bully meanwhile could be seen shouting in Yoruba, “You called me bastard, you must be mad!.”, while she continues caning her victim.

Not holding back, she continued her ranting, threatening, ” I am waiting for who will stop me from not beating you till you bleed”

At another instance in the video, this time, in the presence of others, the victim was seen running to safety while the bully chased her down into an alley.

In the concluding part of the video, the victim was seen begging while her bully continued threatening to beat her till she bleeds.

The video has since generated outrage from netizens on Monday.

Ekiti Baby Governor  TK tweeting as @TanimolaKolade, called for the expulsion of the bully.

Another user, Ife, tweeting as @Onieolowo wondered why those watching could not defend the victim.

“This is disheartening. No one there could even stand up for the girl. I hope the authorities will do the needful,” he wondered.

Ife, tweeting as @ife_dilrealty, called for the girl’s arrest. “Those guys should be arrested as well. I think the @PoliceNG should do the needful,” he stated

This latest incident is coming just a few weeks after another bullying incident at Lead British International School, Abuja, was reported.

After the outrage that followed, the Federal Capital Territory Administration shut down the school for three days.

Consequently, the said bully apologised for her wrong doing.

The school’s management, in a statement, noted that it had launched an investigation into the incident.
