Mum denies killing her two sets of twins, aged 3 & 4, in house fire after they were ‘left home alone’
The fire at the family home broke out just nine days before Christmas
A MUM has denied killing her two sets of twins in a house fire after they were allegedly left home alone.
Brothers Leyton and Logan Hoath, three, and Kyson and Bryson Hoath, four, died in the blaze in Sutton, South London, in 2021.
Their mum Deveca Rose appeared at the Old Bailey today to deny four counts of manslaughter.
The 29-year-old also pleaded not guilty to cruelty to a child under the age of 16.
The charge states she allegedly “ill treated, neglected or exposed” the children “in a manner likely to cause unnecessary suffering or injury to health”.
Rose was bailed ahead of a trial at the same court on September 9.
The mum had allegedly left the children alone when the fire erupted just nine days before Christmas.
Firefighters managed to get the four kids out of the burning home and they were given CPR at the scene before being taken to hospital.
Sadly the brothers couldn’t be saved and were later declared dead.
The boys’ dad Dalton Hoath, 28, previously said they were “bright, caring, loveable boys but most of all sons, brothers, grandsons, great-grandsons, nephews and cousins.”
He added: “We would like to thank all the emergency services who did so much to try and save our boys, and also the local community who have come together at this difficult time.
“They will be forever in my heart and thoughts, love Dad.”
