Ayodele will join the club’s second team in the meantime and will follow in the footsteps of other Nigerian players who have donned Lille’s colours, including Victor Osimhen, Vincent Enyeama, and Osaze Odemwingie, by the time he graduates to make his first team.
The club announced his signing on Friday in a statement on their official website, which read, “LOSC announced the signing of the young and promising Nigerian striker, Adeshina Ayodele (18 years old) from Beyond Limits Football Academy (Nigeria). He has signed for a period of five years and will join the Pro 2 group initially.”
The 18-year-old, who is eager to get started at his new home, played a pivotal role for Beyond Limits in their 2023/24 Nigeria National League triumphant campaign as they gained promotion to the Nigerian Premier Football League, capping his performance with a vital goal in the Super 8 final against Nassarawa United.
He was an integral part of the Beyond Limits team that made history by becoming the first African side to win the prestigious Viareggio Cup in Italy, where he netted five goals and provided an assist.
