Delhi’s Rouse Avenue court on Thursday granted bail to AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal in the money laundering case regarding the Delhi liquor policy scam. The court ordered a bail bond of Rs 1 Lakh to be furnished. The judge has asked the defence to file the bail bond before the duty judge on Friday.
Vacation Judge Nyay Bindu of Rouse Avenue Courts passed the order after reserving it earlier today, a Live Law report said.
Advocate Rishikesh Kumar of Aam Aadmi Party’s legal team said, ” Today, in excise policy scam, Arvind Kejriwal was granted by Rouse Avenue court. He was granted bail on a bail bond of Rs 1 lakh…by tomorrow afternoon, Arvind Kejriwal will come out of jail. This is a big win for AAP leaders, country and people…”
Arvind Kejriwal To Walk Out Of Jail by 8:00 PM On June 21
The release order will be sent to Tihar jail authorities by 4 pm on Friday through the court runner, following which, the jail authorities will start the procedure of making the release memo which could take another few hours.
